Heading West – Rich history in Calvados

To fill up with History with the D-Day landing beaches and the many museums dedicated to the Second World War. Climb the cliffs of Arromanches and contemplate the remains of the artificial port below. Continue on to Colleville-sur-Mer and walk through the aisles of the Omaha Beach American Cemetery overlooking the beach. Are you ready to cross the ages? Then go to the medieval town of Bayeux and relive the famous Battle of Hastings in Bayeux Tapestry Museum .

Heading East – From Cabourg to Honfleur

To stroll through the streets of the charming towns of the Côte Fleurie : cross the Grand Hôtel de Cabourg to reach the seaside, slip into the skin of a movie star on the boards of Deauville and stop at the terrace of a café around the Old Basin of Honfleur to admire the houses with slate facades.

Then venture into the Pays d’Auge: apple trees in bloom, Norman cows and half-timbered houses await you.

Heading south – The Medieval and relief landscapes of Orne

Where the hilly and rocky landscapes of the Suisse Normande offer a superb playground for hiking, climbing or paragliding.

And if you like the stories of knights and castles, the cities of Caen and Falaise are made for you ! Push the doors of the castles of William the Conqueror and appreciate the splendid buildings that are the Men’s Abbey and the Ladies’ Abbey of Caen.
